The SPP09 fits .091" diameter holes. The tapered silicone body compresses into the hole for a tight friction fit. The .620" head provides a visible pull tab that stays accessible above the part surface for quick removal after the cure cycle.
The SPP09 is rated to 600F, well above standard powder coating cure temps of 350-450F. The silicone compound retains full flexibility at high temperatures and will not melt, outgas, or leave residue on parts after curing in the oven.
Press the tapered end of the SPP09 into the .091" hole until the flange sits flush against the part surface. The silicone compresses to create a seal. After coating and curing, grip the .620" head and pull straight out. No tools required for install or removal.
Yes. The yellow color is molded into the silicone, not painted on. It will not transfer to parts or wash off during pretreatment. The color remains visible through the full service life of the plug, even after repeated exposure to 600F cure temps.
