Polyurethane Total Brake Swivel Caster 4" x 2" - 900 lb

Total brake locks both the wheel rotation and the swivel rotation simultaneously with one foot pedal. This prevents the caster from rolling or turning when the brake is engaged. Standard wheel brakes only stop rolling but allow the swivel to rotate, which can let equipment drift sideways.

This caster supports up to 900 lbs per wheel with the total brake holding the full rated load in a locked position on flat surfaces. The total brake is designed for stationary locking during work operations, not for stopping equipment that is already rolling under momentum.

The swivel housing shape pushes floor debris away from the raceway and brake mechanism as the caster rolls. Metal chips, wire scraps, and packaging materials that accumulate on shop floors are redirected instead of jamming the swivel or interfering with brake engagement.

The polyurethane tread is rated from -40F to 180F, covering standard shop temperatures, cold storage areas, and moderately warm environments. Do not use this caster on oven carts that enter cure ovens above 180F. Cast iron casters rated to 800F are required for oven applications.
