No. Melamine plastic is softer than aluminum, so it removes the coating layer and stops at the aluminum surface. It does not etch, gouge, or warp thin aluminum panels. This is why melamine is the preferred media for aerospace aluminum and automotive body panel coating removal applications.

Both contain the same melamine plastic abrasive grade. The 10 lb bag is for smaller jobs, testing, and shops with lower throughput. The 25 lb bag is better value per pound for production stripping. Choose 10 lb for occasional use and 25 lb for regular coating removal operations.

Melamine works in standard siphon and pressure blast cabinets. Use lower air pressure (30-50 PSI) than you would for mineral abrasives to prevent the plastic particles from embedding in soft substrates. The media is recyclable within the cabinet until the particles break down too small.
