The Idealarc 250 produces up to 300 amps of AC welding output and 250 amps of smooth DC welding output. The dual output capability covers a wide range of electrode sizes and joint configurations. The built-in arc stabilizer maintains consistent arc quality across the full amperage range on both AC and DC modes.

The Idealarc 250 is compatible with every type of electrode including cellulosic (6010/6011), low hydrogen (7018), stainless steel, and hard facing rods. The twist-action polarity switch lets you change between AC, DCEP, and DCEN quickly to match the electrode manufacturer's polarity recommendation for each rod type.

Polarity changes with a twist of the wrist using the built-in polarity switch. No cable swapping or terminal reconnection is needed. This saves time when switching between electrode types that require different polarities. The switch is located on the front panel with the amperage control for quick adjustments.

The Idealarc 250 accepts 230-575V input power. This wide voltage range covers standard shop 230V and industrial 460/575V three-phase power.
