The gauntlet cuff extends 11 inches, providing coverage from the hand up through the lower forearm. This protects against accidental contact with hot oven surfaces, rack bars, and part edges when reaching into or near the oven opening during part loading and unloading operations.

Loop-out means the terry cloth loops face outward, away from the skin. The loops create an insulating air layer between the hot surface and your hand. This construction is standard for industrial heat gloves because the loops trap air more effectively than flat-weave materials.
