Glass Cloth Tape 5 MIL - 2" Wide

Use 2" tape for masking large flat areas on parts going through high-temperature processes. The wider tape covers surfaces faster with fewer seams than 1/2" or 1" widths. Ideal for masking mounting flanges, large holes, flat panels, and broad surfaces on powder-coated parts.

The 2" tape at $35.91 provides the best coverage per dollar compared to the 1/2" ($8.32) and 1" ($15.28) sizes. The wider roll covers four times the area of the 1/2" roll per pass. All three widths share identical 5 MIL thickness and silicone adhesive specifications.

Yes. Despite the wider width, the woven fiberglass cloth remains conformable around moderate curves and contours. For tight radius curves under 1" diameter, the 1/2" width is easier to handle. The 2" width works well on gradual curves, cylinders, and gently contoured surfaces.

Glass cloth tape handles short blasting with light to moderate media including glass bead and fine aluminum oxide. For extended heavy blasting with steel grit or coarse aluminum oxide, use 20 MIL PVC tape instead. Glass cloth tape is primarily chosen for its 500F heat rating.
