CR-165W Indoor 165F ROR and Fixed Heat Detector

A rate-of-rise detector triggers when air temperature increases at 15F per minute, regardless of the actual temperature. This catches fast-developing fires before the fixed temperature threshold is reached. The rate-of-rise function is restorable after activation, meaning it resets after the temperature normalizes.

The fixed temperature rating is 165F. When the ambient temperature at the detector reaches 165F, the fixed-temperature element triggers the alarm regardless of the rate of temperature change. The fixed temperature function is non-restorable and the detector must be replaced after this type of activation.

Install the CR-165W in indoor areas where heat detection is appropriate. Common locations include manufacturing areas, storage rooms, mechanical rooms, and spaces where smoke detectors would cause nuisance alarms from dust or fumes. Mounts on any standard 4-inch octagon electrical box.

The CR-165W is rated at 3 amps at 125VAC, 1 amp at 28VDC, and 0.3 amps at 125VDC. These ratings define the maximum current the detector contacts can switch to the fire alarm panel. Verify compatibility with your specific panel model before installation.
