Black PVC Sandblasting and Stencil Tape - 2" x 100'

The tape is 20 MIL total thickness. This heavy duty thickness resists blast media penetration during sandblasting operations. The black matte PVC backing conforms to curved surfaces and irregular shapes while maintaining a consistent protective barrier against abrasive media.

The tape uses a rubber adhesive that leaves sharp, clean paint or blast lines when removed. Rubber adhesive bonds securely during blasting or coating operations and removes cleanly without residue. It provides a firm seal against blast media undercutting at tape edges.

The PVC tape operates at temperatures up to 176F (80C). This covers sandblasting, chrome plating, anodizing, and most room-temperature coating processes. For higher temperature applications like powder coating ovens, use glass cloth tape rated to 500F instead.

Yes. The PVC tape is an excellent masking tape for hard chrome plating and anodizing processes. It resists the acids and alkalies used in plating baths. The 20 MIL thickness prevents solution penetration, and the rubber adhesive provides a tight seal against chemical wicking.
