The 5x10 adds 12 inches of width compared to the 4x10, providing more lateral working space for wider weldments, frame assemblies, and fixtures that require side clearance. The extra width also allows a second row of fixture clamps to be positioned perpendicular to the primary work axis, improving fixturing options for complex assemblies.

Top plate thickness is specified in the product data sheet. Commercial welding tables use heavier plate than hobby-grade tables to resist warping under repeated heat cycles and to maintain flatness under heavy fixture loads. Thicker plate also provides better arc grounding contact and a more stable surface for precision fixture setups.

The all-steel construction handles outdoor and unheated shop environments. Surface rust will develop on the uncoated steel top in humid conditions. Treat the surface with a light oil coating when not in use to slow oxidation. Structural integrity is not affected by rust, but heavily pitted surfaces reduce fixture clamp contact quality over time.

Standard leg height is specified in the product description. Custom leg heights may be available on request for ergonomic positioning or to match other shop fixtures. Welding at table height rather than floor level reduces operator fatigue significantly on full-day production runs. Confirm table height against your operators before ordering.

Heavy welding tables are typically shipped on a pallet via freight carrier due to their weight. Delivery requires a forklift or dock at the receiving location. Tables may arrive assembled or as a flat-pack requiring leg attachment. Confirm delivery requirements with the carrier before your order ships to avoid additional handling charges at the destination.
