The Picle-1 Series produces square cuts, bevel cuts, and saddle cuts on pipe. The motorized chain drive wraps around the pipe, rotating the torch at a consistent speed for smooth, repeatable cut quality. Saddle cuts are used for pipe-to-pipe intersections in structural and process piping fabrication where hand torch cutting produces inconsistent fit-up.

The machine is designed for 4-inch nominal pipe size. The chain-drive mechanism adjusts to clamp around the pipe OD. Koike Aronson Picle-1 Series models are available in different sizes for other pipe diameters. Confirm the nominal pipe size of your application matches the machine specification before ordering.

The torch itself uses acetylene and oxygen gas - no electrical supply needed for the flame. The motorized drive mechanism requires electrical power to rotate the torch carriage around the pipe at a consistent travel speed. This combination of gas cutting and motorized drive produces consistent bevel angles on every cut without electrical supply for the flame.

The motorized drive maintains constant torch travel speed around the pipe circumference. Hand cutting speed varies as the operator moves through different torch positions, producing heat-affected zone inconsistencies and bevel angle variation. Motorized cutting produces uniform kerf width, consistent bevel angle, and a surface that requires minimal grinding before welding.
