Ingersoll Rand 300 Series Right Angle Die Grinder | 1/4" Collet

A right angle die grinder places the spindle at 90 degrees to the tool body, allowing access to corners, inside radii, weld toes, and confined areas where an inline grinder cannot reach. Used for deburring, blending weld spatter, porting, polishing, and fitting work in fabricated assemblies where inline tools are blocked by adjacent structure.

The 300 Series uses a 1/4-inch collet, which accepts the standard 1/4-inch shank carbide burrs, mounted points, and abrasive wheels used throughout the metal fabrication industry. 1/4-inch shank tooling is widely available and compatible with all major accessory brands, reducing tooling costs and sourcing complexity.

The 300 Series is air-powered, requiring a compressed air supply. Air die grinders are preferred in metal fabrication environments because they have no risk of electric shock in wet or metal-chip environments, run cooler under load, and can be stalled without motor damage. Most shops already have compressed air available at the workstation.

Free speed RPM is listed in the product specification sheet. Match your mounted point or carbide burr's maximum RPM rating to the tool's operating speed. Running abrasive accessories above their rated RPM is a safety hazard. The right angle head gear reduction means the spindle speed differs from the motor speed - check the spindle spec specifically.

Compatible accessories include 1/4-inch shank carbide burrs in all profiles, mounted abrasive grinding points, small flap wheels, bristle brush attachments, and polishing mounted points. Use only accessories rated for the spindle speed. Right angle heads require shorter shank-to-tip accessory lengths to avoid deflection at the 90-degree head.
